About me

Picture
Welcome!  Thanks for your interest in my work.  My name is Daniel Nasaw and I'm an editor in the Washington bureau of The Wall Journal.  I edit White House, Congress, politics, law-enforcement, trade and policy coverage, with some central banking and econ news for good measure, and do lots of other things to keep the bureau's trains running on time.  From time to time I write my own stories too, on everything from Neil Armstrong's moon suit, to goat yoga and the D.C. health department, to storage issues at the Smithsonian.

Before joining the Journal, I ran the online U.S. news desk in the BBC's Washington bureau.  Prior to the BBC, I was a Washington correspondent for The Guardian and a reporter at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in Little Rock.

I was born and raised in New York City, and have a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from the University of Chicago.  I live in Washington DC with my wife Layla, a policy analyst at the Government Accountability Office.

Send news tips, comments, recipes, and NFL analysis to me on Twitter.
